Trainers are interested to learn where to find Cranidos in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

As faithful remakes of the classic Generation IV games, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl allow trainers in the Sinnoh region to go about digging for lost treasures. Of these — aside from statues, orbs, and evolutionary items — fossils are the most valuable, as they allow for the resurrection of long-lost Pokémon such as Aerodactyl, Kabutops, and, now, Cranidos.

Here's where to find Cranidos in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Cranidos and Shieldon are version-exclusive Pokémon for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, respectively. Unfortunately, these Pokémon are only available via fossils which means trainers will need to be prepared to do some digging — specifically in the Grand Underground.

The Grand Underground unlocks upon speaking to the Underground Man in Eterna City. He'll gift players with a kit that allows them to head into the underground whenever they like. The Underground Man will also teach players how to go about digging, which is certainly a skill worth mastering if trainers are hoping to resurrect prehistoric Pokémon.

Cranidos comes from the Skull Fossil which can be found in any area within the Underground.

Once obtained, players need to head to the museum in Oreburgh City and hand off their find to one of the museum technicians to bring the Pokémon back to life. They'll be gifted with a brand new Cranidos moments later.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available for the Nintendo Switch.
